Der südamerikanische Torcus sanguineus Hustache wird Cylindridia zugeordnet (comb. n.). Eine sehr ähnliche und in der originalen Typenserie von T. sanguineus enthaltene Art wird als Cylindridia latisquama sp. n. aus Argentinien und Brasilien beschrieben. Cylindridia andersoni sp. n. wird aus Guatemala und Mexico beschrieben; die Art entwickelt sich im Stengel von Rhynchospora sp. cf. macrochaeta (Cyperaceae).
