Abstract

The types of the species of Dolichopodidae described by P. Gabriel Strobl were examined. As a result, Medetera ruficornis Strobl is discribed and included with its caracteristics in the newest key. The position of Hercostomus quadrifilatus (Strobl) is clarified.
